50-minute Computer Health & Security Checkup from Brady Gilbert with Call Brady Computer Services, $125.

Important: Call Brady will never contact you unexpectedly and tell you that your computer is infected. Remote sessions occur only after you schedule an appointment with us.

You've probably heard me say this before: never let someone remotely access your computer unless you know exactly who they are. That advice still stands. I will never randomly call you and tell you there's something wrong with your computer. You come to CallBrady.com, choose your appointment yourself, pay through the secure booking system, and at your scheduled appointment you connect with me.

During your appointment, Brady will remotely review your Windows computer for:

  • Suspicious or unnecessary programs
  • Browser extensions and unwanted search settings
  • Programs automatically starting with Windows
  • Windows and browser security settings
  • Potentially unwanted notifications
  • Scheduled tasks and startup entries
  • Software that should be removed or updated
  • General performance and housekeeping issues

Appointment times are booked for 50 minutes, for one computer. There isn't a guarantee that this will remove 100% of problems, but after 20+ years in the industry, I have a strong eye on what should and shouldn't be on your system. If there is extra time still available after the checkup I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have.

As this is a new offering, I'm starting with limited booking times: Friday mornings at 8, 9, 10, and 11am EST.

What does the process look like?

  1. You visit CallBrady.com/remote-checkup to schedule and pay for your remote session through a secure connection with SquareUp.
  2. Briefly before your appointment you will receive an E-mail from Brady with a link to a Zoho remote session. This software allows me one-time access to your system. After the appointment I will not be able to re-connect.
  3. Please join the session approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
  4. Brady will call you at the phone number you provided. The phone number will begin with 864 (South Carolina area code).
  5. Your call will be with Brady, and nobody else, connecting from Travelers Rest, SC.
  6. At the end of 50 minutes, Brady will disconnect and send you a summary sheet of the work completed.

Limitations:

If your computer is so infected that you cannot receive E-mail or access a website, then there is no way to do a remote connection.

If your computer is incredibly slow, there will only be so much we can get through in a 50 minute session. 50 minutes is more than enough for most systems.
